does anyone know if its possible to mod a SNES controller to work with a ps2? this is so i can run roms and feel official. i was thinking it should be to hard to just swap the cables inside and just do some guesswork..

It is impossible, even if it were possible, you would have to have multiple emulators running at the same time.
The voltage running through the SNES controller is very low, if you cut the wire and rewired it, it would no longer work, which means that there is only one way to connect it to the ps2, through USB
For that, you would need a SNES to USB converter, (available from eBay), but for that, you would need the driver on your memory card for it, (you would have to make the .irx driver youself because its not available from the internet).
Secondly, even if you did manage to connect the SNES controller to your USB and have it working, you would have to have a SNES controller emulator running so that it would manipulate SNES controller buttons to ps2 buttons for the emulator, and you would have to modify the emulator software your running too aswell.
So, its near enough impossible for the ps2, but it is possible for the PC
