Nero 7/TDK dvd-r illegal disk error

I have got to the point this week where I could not burn data files to TDK dvd-r (illegal disk error). I re-installed and re-loaded on the software; downloaded an update because my computer wanted to send an error message to Microsoft which I allowed. This stated the software needed updating. I still get 'illegal disk error'. Please, what do I do to clear this up?

Make sure your firmware is most current for your burner and use quality media. The illegal disc error is usually due to duff media/old drives that can't handle the newer stuff.
