i have the sony dvd dual/r/rw dwu14a burner to copy a dvd i first compress the dvd using dvd shrink 3.1 then using nero 6 i burn on to a dvd disk ie tdk dvd-rw & also used bulkpaq dvd-r they burn ok but then the copyed dvd disk will only play back on my computer i have tried the disks on a few dvd players ie multi regional dvd players but none of the players detect the disks does anyone no what is wrong by the way copying cds is not a problem thanks pat

This might sound stupid but try pressing rewind on your dvd player. i have burnt vcd's ,svcd's and dvd's and they only play in my dvd player if i press rewind. If i press play i get only the title page.It it also the same on other peoples players.
