i bought this machine on the advise of a friend though eaby and ive been having some problems that i was hoping you guys might know something about :)

the specs are as fallows

Intel CPU : Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 2.66GHz, 1333FSB (Quad Core) 12000K
Intel CPU Fans : Spire Socket 775 Intel fan
Intel Motherboards : ASUS P5K SE P35, 1333FSB, PCI Express, DDR2, Sound, 1Gb LAN
DDR2 memory : 3GB (3x1GB) PC6400 DDR2 800 Dual Channel
PCI-Express Video cards : GeForce 9600GT 512Mb PCI EXpress 16X dual head, tv out
Hard Drives : 500.0GB Maxtor/ Seagate 7200rpm SATA2 UDMA 300 32m Cache
Sound Cards : AC 97 3D Full Duplex sound card (onboard)
Network Cards : Ethernet network adapter (onboard)
Cases : APEVIA X-Plorer Silver, Side Window, front USB,iEEE,Temp control
Case Fans : Dual Case Fans 80 mm DC fan (two fans)
Power Supply : Okia Extra Quiet 650W ATX Power Supply, SLI Ready

( im also running a CRT monitor not a LCD with the adapter that came with the card)

the problems im having is that on a couple games ( the penny arcade game and Penumbra: Black Plague) that it runs ok for a bit, but then it oddly freezes. it doesn't entirely freeze ( it lets me ctrl alt delete out) but enough that it wont work for a wile. after about a minute passes, it progresses abit again, but then freezes. also i get weird misplaced textures on world of warcraft.

the weird thing is that i tried crysis on it, and it runs like a champ no problems what so ever.

any thoughts or advise any of you might have would be great :)
thanks in advance!

it sounds like a driver issue tbh m8 newwer drivers tend to be optimised for the new gpu and newest big games.

other than that you could stop playing ghey games :P

Yes, that's a very poor design choice. Also, VERY IMPORTANT You MUST change the power supply unit in that PC urgently. A lot of PCs off ebay come with Okia units - most go pop and take the rest of your components with them, and some even catch fire. Get a proper unit in there like a Corsair, sharpish.

I don't know where you saw that, but a 9600GT does not need a 650W PSU, even a 450 is ample.
