Hey guys,
I played ffxi for a few years, along with wow, which didn't require too crazy of a system to run.(Ran on my 24" Imac work comp) But now i'm getting into AoC, and i'd like to pick up Crisis or a few of the higher end games that are starting to emerge. My current setup is running AoC on low settings at around 10-30fps, which is a pain in the dick but i can deal with it during the leveling process. I definitally want to have a new PC built within the next few weeks before i start raiding end game content. I'd like to see 50-80fps on max settings. That being said i've set my limit to around 2Gs and think i've got a pretty decent system built. Being my first self-built PC, i've got a few questions A.)Is everything compatible? (Mainly video card with mobo) B.) Are their any upgrades that i should look into within a 100-150$ that will increase the performance by a noticable margin? C.) Do you more experienced PC builders see anything wrong with my setup? D.) Finally if anyone has experience working with this or a similar combination of products has any input for installation it would be very helpful and much apprietiated.

Case
Ultra Black Aluminus ATX Mid-Tower Case

Mobo/Cpu

Video Card
EVGA GeForce 9800 GX2 Video Card - 1GB GDDR3, PCI Express 2.0, SLI Ready, (Dual Link) Dual DVI, HDMI

Power Supply
OCZ / GameXStream / 700-Watt / ATX / 120mm Fan / SATA Ready / SLI Ready / EPS / Active PFC / Power Supply

DVD Drive

CPU Fan

Hard Drive

8gigs DDR2

Moniter

Window's Vista 64bit

On another note, i'm looking for a good wall mount with a 16"-24" extension with a tilt feature on the end, if anyone knows of a good one let me know! thanks!

A friend of mine just got this same exact setup other then the 9800 card, so that really is my main concern.

I'm confused. Does the processor come with that mobo? If so, that is a great deal!

I was looking at the 9800 cards, but sammorris advised me against it, saying that they are basically two 8800 cards sli'd together. Also, where is your sound card?

Other than that, it looks good.

If you want a good card that's about half that price, look at the 8800gts cards. XFX is the company I went with. Several people are saying EVGA had some issues with quality, so you may want to stay away from them (they also made the 9800 card you chose, so maybe go with another 9800 card).

I'd avoid 680i chipset boards, they're not very good. Go with one of these. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128336

That CPU cooler will be a poor performer. I'd go with: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835233003

Also, why spend all that on a PC and ruin it with a low quality Acer monitor? Get this: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/...5926&CatId=2775

Also, go with an XFX or BFG graphics card, not an EVGA - they're not as good.

I have nothing against you using a 9800GX2, but I'd recommend you stick it out a bit and wait for a GTX280 if you can.
