I am using a Plextor PX - 760A and I keep getting the same werror message when trying to burn iso or img files

I/O Error Device: {4:0:0} Plextor DVDR PX-760A 1.049D:) (SCSI)

scsiStstus 0x02
Interpretation: Check Condition

CDB: 2A 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 20 00
Interpretation: Write (10) - Sectors: 0-31
Sense Area 70 00 02 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 30 10 00 00 00 00 61 00 6D 00 20 00
Interpretation: Medium Not Formatted

What does this mean? I do not have a SCSI in my computer. How can I resolve this and burn my images. many thanks for any help!

Memorex DVD+/-RW 4X
