Please help! Copying DVD to PC then to DVD.
Used DVDFab and AnyDVD.
When I tried to copy to DVD with Nero, it wouldnt do.
Then I downloaded Imge burn, but it says file is too big.
It is 4,818 - so it is over 4.
Can you help now, how do I make it smaller?
Do I need to recopy to PC - doing something differently?
Thanks

The paid version of DVDFab will compress the files. So will DVD Shrink and there's DVD Rebuilder which will reencode the files to fit a DVD-5.

Thanks for your reply.
Downloaded DVD Shrink and tried it.
The programme DVD Shrink will not open the Video_TS file, which is where the ripped movie is if I double click it on my PC. (I clicked open file and searched for it) - it gives me an error message:

Failed to open file .ifo

There may be something wrong with the rip. Try processing the files through VobBlanker or FixVTS. If this does not work, you may have to rip it again. What's the name of the disc that you ripped?

Downloaded VOB Blanker.
Tried to open file, it wont allow the Video_TS file to open up.
BUT when I go to my C drive it will open and there is a VOB file + a IFO file?
Weird.

How many files are in the VIDEO_TS folder?
Exactly what ripping method are you using?

3 files are in the video_ts folder when I view on my PC:
they are stream information, an IFO file and a big VOB file.

But when I try to compact the VOB file through using VOB Blanker then when I browse my computer and try to open the Video_TS file, it wont open...

Programmes I used previously to this are above in the forum.

Re-rip with DVDFab and try again.
Something doesn't sound right here.
If this is a movie, there will be more than 1 VOB.
What error message were you getting with VobBlanker?

This is a normal movie.
I had a problem opening file, but I think I need some help using VOB Blanker. Can you give me some very straightforward steps as to what to do...

Maybe start at the very beginning when I rip the DVD to my hard drive.

Thanks so much!!

But your first post states you used DVDFab.
Now this is getting confusing. I suspect you're getting a bad rip.

Yes, sorry I wrote the wrong thing
I used DVD descrypter
So what I am doing now, is I am busy downloading the trial of DVDFab and then I will re-rip the DVD and try again.

Hello again
Used bbmayo's guide - where he shows step by step it was really helpful.

But after copying to my blank DVD, it now has no sound?
And there should be sound because I ticked audio...

Can you help again?

Thanks

Seems like you're missing the proper codec. Insatll AC3Filter.

This issue has already been taken care of.
A MOD has already asked you to stop sneaking in links to PavTube but you still insist on doing it.
