Hello all,
i just started having this problem . My External DVD Burner (Plextor PX-712UF) stopped burning the buffer level fails and and never starts burning.
I have tried another External burner on this same computer and everything works fine, and also tried the one that supposedly doesnt work on another PC and suprisingly works like a charm.
i have no idea how or why it is happening. it use to work just fine up until couple days ago.

You're trying to burn too close to the edge of the disc. Set target output at 4300.

Try either Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim, burning at 6x or 8x max.
Make sure you're running the most updated firmware for you burner.

unfortunately, the outcome was the same.
i tried burning smaller files, some as DATA, some as ISO's and used Nero Vision for short movies. did try some better media had some Verbatims i was saving but still no luck.
I put it into another USB slot that also didnt work, Im pretty annoyed by this problem i think im going to call it quits. i have it hooked up to another PC and the thing works fine so ill probably keep it as is.
Thank you guys for the awesome suggestions i will keep this updated if something else pops up.
