Hi, I have a Fujitsu Siemns Scaelo T computer and the fan on the cpu is always very loud, my computer fan doesn't meet the CPU target of 60 degrees, my cpu reaches tempreautures of 90 degrees, so the CPU fan will always be loud till I meet the target, what can I do to make my PC quiet again? Thanks.

90c? :O. Firstly switch it off.
I think the cooler is faulty consider getting an aftermarket one.

They aren't hard to replace - however, you will need to remove the existing thermal paste before you slap the new cooler on - they come preapplied with their own so you don't need to use new stuff, but you should use the following stuff to remove the gunk off your CPU: http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductIn...roductID=130264

are you sure it's the cpu fan?
Most of the times that I've had loud fans, it's always been the video card fan. It's a small fan, but when they start going bad, they make alot of noise for there size.

I recommend taking the heatsink and the fan out of your pc and taking them both to a specialist and ask him/her about the problem, because it is very hard to tell what the problem is, for example, once by pc was making a "drilling" noise, i thought it was possibly a frayed cpu or a faulty heatsink, i took out the heatsink, cpu, and fan and took them down to my mates house, who is a specialist, he said there was nothing wrong with any of them, i fitted them all back, and later on, i found out it was a faulty cylinder in my hard drive, sent it to waranty company, and they resealed the cylinder chamber and it worked fine eversince

The one I listed does just as good a job as the Zalman and doesn't get filled up with dust like it does - plus its cheaper.
Oh, and for the record, don't use Eclipse computers - very poor customer service.

mc22hc,
has it always been like this??
If not,is your cpu cooler full of dust? If so the fan will be working overtime.
Might be time for a spring clean?

m8 try undusting all the fans you have in the computer first. (inc gfx)
than use speed fan, to turn it down from 100% to something lower :)
