hey all....i have this burner, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106989
and i just want to make sure that it burns Dual Layer (DL) dvds before i go out and buy blank dl dvds

yes it will burn DL blank media. Verbatim makes the best DVD+R DL and make sure you burn at 2.4x or 4x max

skllcandy- According to the specifications of this burner on Neweggs website it does both DVD+R DL and DVD-R DL media ! Personally I've never seen any of the DVD-R DL stuff !!! around What with DVD+R DL being 1st on the market and better established ( Verbatims for example ) But I mainly Burn Single layer Media in DVD+R & DVD-R saving The DVD+R DL 'S for really Specail Backups & projects ! DVD+R DL is what your burner supports,you can and should booktype to DVD-ROM for best playback compatibly.

hey uhh i bought some DVD+R DL's but it wont show up on my pc
if i check the disc info in Nero it says theres no disc inserted
