pokemon fire red help....

i downloaded pokemon fire red for my ipod touch and its fun. But i saved and when i went back to it to play it it took me back to the title screen and it was as if i didnt play the game at all, and after it said The 1M sub-circuit board is not installed. I tried downloading new roms and different emulators but nothing worked (either thhey didnt download or same problem persisted)

Can anyone help me fix this? im tired of starting a new game almost everytime i want to play!!!
