Has anyone succesfully connected PC to Pioneer OXD

Ive tried to use my pc on my plasma tv by connecting from DVI to HDMI to no avail.
It states in the tv's manual that this version of plasma tv(pioneer PDP-427OXD) is not pc compatible.
I was just wondering weather anybody else has purchased the same tv and had the same problems and managed to find a way to do this.
Theres a s video socket on the tv is there a way to connect through VGA and s video component and still get HDMI.
