PQ on a HTPC

Is there anyone compare the picture quality on a stand along BR player vs a BR Rom in a HTPC. Is the pq the same or one is better than the other?

I just bought a LG GGC-H20L BLU-RAY HD-DVD Reader (HTPC) and plays BR movies compare with my PS3. I found the pq on my PS3 is sharper than the pq in my HTPC (same movie and same HDTV at 1080p). Is the pq related to the video card or the BR drive? How can I make it look better?

My HTPC is
Intel Q6600
ATI X1900XT (with CCC 8.5 driver)set at 1080p dot-to-dot
PowerDVD Ultra ver 8 (latest version)
TV: Sharp LC-46D92U at 1080p
