BackItUp differential job running as full

I have Nero 8, and use BackItUp 3 to backup my data files to an external hard drive. After performing a full backup, I use it to create a differential backup. If I perform the differential immediately, it works fine. However, if I click "Create Job" to schedule it, the job runs as a full backup. This occurs whether I'm logged in, or not, when the job runs. I don't want to do a manual diff every day. My previous Nero 6 worked fine, although you could not run a job unless you were logged onto the system. Any help would be appreciated.
