Was wondering if I can load HDloader through USB thumb.

Ok,basically just that.I'm asking if this is possible.Although i'm not even sure if HDLOADER is a elf file or not.Anyway..I would set up HDLoader on USB run it from MC.Would this work? Help appreciated.

hdloader is an elf file, it can be found at sksapps.com

You would need to first set up an exploit if you have a PS1 disk

or use a cheat disk such as codebreaker, ar max or gameshark to install an exploit.

You can't see the usb flash drive unless you have an exploit installed and use uLaunch4.12.elf to see it.

Or you can install the new mc loader to mc if you have a way to see the usb drive.

Having trouble understanding that last part.What do you mean have a way to see USB drive?

edIT: I thought I could just use CB v 10,with USb thumb,install files an that would work.See I had originally done that to get CodeMajic to work.However I didn't think it was possible to load other .elfs through SMS.So basically i'm asking if I can just do that an put HDloader on it?

Ok you didn't say you had CB v10.

So yes it will see the usb drive, but it will not see elf files.

It can only see game saves (.cbs etc) or day 1 files).cbc

That is why I gave the link on how to install exploit using Codebreaker etc.
You follow that tutorial and you should be able install the files.

Or soon Bootlegninja is going to post a tutorial soon on how to install the FREE_MCBOOT 1.4 using codebreaker.

You then wouldn't have to use a disk or anything to start the exploit.
And then if you also used ESR Beta 7b, you could play any backups without modding your PS2.

Once you have uLe loaded, you can transfer any elf file from USB to MC to load it.
