I don't think my 350 wat power supply that came with my dell vostro 400, supports older molex type power connector that my creative XI FI platinum sound card requires. Must I replace power supply?

If I recall correctly, the X-Fi Platinum needs a floppy drive power connector - if your PC has no floppy drive then there may not be a floppy drive connector on your PSU - you can however, buy adapter cables like these:

So you don't have any spare Molex connectors, but you do have a spare S-ATA power connector? That's a very interesting connector - I'm pleasantly surprised to see those exist - tempted to grab some for myself.
