How to enable Plextor 740A DVD Burner in XP PRO

Can anyone tell me how to enable autorun for my Plextor 740A DVD burner in Windows XP pro? I can manually open and close my CDRom drive but I cannot manually open by DVD burner. Autorun was turned off by Vmware and I have removed this software from my PC. thanks in advance
