Hey guys, I have a problem when downloading torrent files and i'm not sure what is causing it. When i browse the net i have no problems with my connection. When i seem to use utorrent, my file starts to download but after 5 minutes or so my connection disconnects. It connects up again then after 5 minutes it disconnects again, it's almost as if utorrent is causing my modem to crash. Can anyone give me any advice on how to fix this problem?

Thanks.

Try lowering Global connections and maximum connected peers at options>preferences>bittorrent.

Just a guess but is UPnP disabled at options>preferences>connection in utorrent?

No, "Enable UPnP Port Mapping" is enabled.

You can try lowering your maximum download speed in increments of 10 also.
