Someone help clear something up for me here. I keep reading in forums and on the internet that IR Shell 3.9 does and does not work for PSP FAT running 3.90M33-3. Can someone set the record straight for me? Also if it does work, is the IR port still usable? I had 3.71M33-4 and IR Shell 3.8 before and had to get a patch in order to enable the IR port. Thanks for your assistance.

it does work. i have iRshell running on my slim 3.90 m33-3.

BUT, you must have certain flash0 files from 3.80 m33, and replace them in 3.90 m33. so you have to pandora back to 3.80 m33, grab the files, and update back to 3.90 m33.

On my CFW I went right from 3.71M33-4 to 3.90M33-3. Are you saying that I need to downgrade to 3.80M33 and pull files from IR Shell or can you explain it a little better for me? I didn't even mess with the 3.80M33 upgrade. Once again thanks for your help.

yes, you need to be on 3.80 and install iRshell 3.9 with the patch.

once that's done, you have to copy two files from the flash0. (irspatch.prx and pspbtjnf.bin)

once copied, you update to 3.90 m33, and then copy the two 3.80 m33 files into the flash0.

also, you will need to install THIS patch (after doing flash0) to remove the firmware check. it's been stated that not everything will work, so don't be suprised. so if you want everything, stick to 3.80 m33-5.

I'm going with your advice to stick with 3.80M33. I'm good with upgrading with all the forums here but I can tell you I am no good with downgrading. Tell me the easiest or point me to the best forum that makes it easy for us newcomers to downgrading. Once again I appreciate your patience in helping me with this.
