sorry admins if this is the wrong place to post this but this place has always been helpful to me in the past. i think i for a virus or trojan on my computer named "spools". i cant run my system restore nor can i delete it manually. any recommendations about this bug would be great

moved to correct forum as not a hardware issue. what anti-virus & anti-spyware program are you using? do you have a spare hd?

Hi bojan.

I wouldn't recommend AVG as a free antivirus. Instead, try Antivir Free, a top-notch antivirus program, better then even some shareware antiviruses. Look at AV-Comparatives and see the scores.

Also, the first thing to do if you suspect an infection is to post a HijackThis log. Please download HijackThis, rename it to something like scannerhjt.exe, and run it. Post the log here.

It seems that you have the spools.exe malware. Follow Ltangel's instructions on downloading and running Combofix in this thread: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/639221 Post the log here.
