Hello,
Not sure if this is correct forum.. I've been backing up DVD's to DVD. I'd like to stop backing up to DVD and just use some sort of digital media format. I have some thought on how I'd like it to work and a budget that I'm only willing to spend..

So I'd like to store the files on a computer or NAS device with wireless connection. This is really not a big deal, but what is the best format or application to use to convert the file. I'd like to have good quality and allow for HD content.

I'd like to be able to use meta data to seach on with such as actors, key works in subjet, year etc.. ( more of a wish here.. )

Control thru a remote control thru the TV - no messing with the computer

I'd like to not have to run the computer to make it work

I've been looking at the DSM-520 from D-Link..

Please let me know what I should be looking for or at.
