xecuter 2- how do i use it, first time xbox user

Apologies if this is in the wrong section.
My question is how do i use the chipped xbox. I just recently bought an xbox and found out it was chipped (even though the seal looks like it hasnt been broken). Worked out how to use it by moving the chip enable to ON and bank to 2 and i got the chipped screen. Said xecuter2 loading....


I had a look around and found loads of drives(C,Y,Z etc)
How do i find out the size of the HDD inside it, my guess is its the standard 8gb cos it comes up with a pop-up reminding me i have 700mb left. It already has 2 games stored on it and many applications.

Also is it necessary to connect the xbox to my computer, is it only to upgrade software and play live?

Just a first time xbox user needing some feedback.
