ps1 backup logo freeze?

I had burn a ps1 back up from romhustler.net. I use alcohol 120% 1.9.7
I burned it with memorex cd-r w/ 8x write speed (thats the lowest i can burn). When i play w/ my fat ps2(using slide card) it work until the ps1 logo. It will not load anymore. Can anybody help me? Did i burned it wrong or do i have to burn it w/ 4x? Can anybody tell me how to configure my alcohol 120% setting to burn only ps1 game?
