nero 8/7 problems with vista

I have 2 computers 1 with vista home premium and vista ulitmate.The problems im having,Is i use shrink with nero 7. It burns complete works on the pc,and you can see the burn ring on the disc put in the dvd player with i tried 2 diffrent players and i get ERROR. Now i tryed this both computers and 2 diffrent dvd players same message ERROR. Ok so i unistalled nero 7, loaded nero 8 on both computers same message ERROR.
Also i tryed using DVDfab5&4 With both nero 7/8 on both computers same message ERROR. I even tryed fixing the vob with Fixvts. I tryed this method with muiltable Avi files. I tryed diffrent discs DVD+ and DVD-. The funny things is was a month ago these programs worked,not anymore. I even downloaded service pack 1 for vista. Also from time to time i get an error message on my Pc's saying COM not supported.. Thanku for your time

Also i forgot to say is i use convertxtodvd for the avi files

you recently change brand of media? well you dont need to change brand really for the dye code to change

use dvd identifier on a good dvd you burnt and try a blank get both codes.

Thanx for responding.. I did what you suggested i downloaded DVD identifier scaned a disc that worksinthe pc but notin the dvd player.
