ATI 4850+drivers playback problem(desktop lines in video)

Hello all,
i bought new ati radeon 4850 yesterday and i have problem with desktop lines showing in video.
when i uninstall catalyst drivers, playback is OK(but low quality and i cant do anything since i dont have drivers). i tryed to install drivers included with graphics card, catalyst 8.6 and 8.6 beta(both with hotfix). also reinstalling various players/codec.
weird is that i dont have this problem with wmv files.
as you can see in the picture crop, there is start bar in the picture.

im almost out of options. only thing in my mind is to try windos vista, but i would like to keep that as last solution :) thx for any tips.
