Hi.Just wondering i got the box t a couple of months ago. After i got the box i was told to autoscan and i would get all the channels.I got all the sky sports and setanta channels and alot of others when i autoscanned. Is it possible to get any of the liverpool,chelsea,celtic and mutv channels with this box.Was told that you dont get as many channels with mmds as you do with cable.Any help would be appreciated.

no m8 you will only get what they put out wich is about 88 channels. check out their web page to see what you get.

can anyone help me i am trying to down load the software from eamos library for the box t. it keeps telling me it is a bin file and my computer is unable to open it. i am very bad on the ins and outs and need an experts advice.thanks brian

you dont open the bin file go back and download this file v4.03_051005.exe then just load the bin file into it when you have the box connected with a null modem

is there any other way to get the software on to the box T...i dont seem to have the correct socket on my labtop to be able to upload it onto the box T using the RS-232 serial cable. i'm at my wits end as i have this box a week and still am no closer to getting to watch some tv.

If your pc does not have a serial port you will need a USB to serial port adapter to use in conjunction with the null modem cable.

Or you can opt for a serial PCI card.

ok, so i've managed to connect the box t to the laptop but when i click on bin in the program i downloaded and choose "the box t api" it says the system cant find the file even tho its sitting right there on my desktop. could it be because i'm using VLC media? sorry for being such a novice

have you opened the loader and put it into that if yes delete the one it says cant be found and download it again

hi thanks for that. i actually solved it. the receiver was on COM8 when it should have been on COM1-4. I moved it to COM2 and it downloaded fine. i'm not at the stage of trying to get the channels. i did an auto scan and got them all but when i go onto the channel it says bad channel or scambled...what next? i have the list of frequencies that someone posted up a while ago but i cant get it to do that for them like TG4 is 306000...hope anyone can help me out!

Press Menu then 1570
Scroll down to the last option
Turn EMU key ON

Exit 3 times and tune into S*Y Sports and it should auto update for you
