Some multidisc PSX games have issues swapping to new disc when using individual EBOOT files for each disc. The most compatible way to play multidisc PSX games is by using a program that will convert all disc into 1 EBOOT file.

I use RS-GUI PopStationMD v3.00 to do this and it works well.

If he has the ISO files of each disc then all he has to do is add all the disc in order and then it will output 1 EBOOT file containing all disc in that 1 file.

If he only has the EBOOT files of each disc then he will need to use a program like PSX2PSP to load the EBOOT file then extract the ISO from it for each of the EBOOT game disc. When you have the ISO files from each EBOOT then do the above steps to create the 1 EBOOT file containing all disc.

You can get the RS-GUI PopStationMD v3.00 HERE.

You can get PSX2PSP HERE. You will also need to download zlibwapi.dll and place it in the root folder of PSX2PSP. You can find the zlibwapi.dll file HERE.

He will probably have to delete the old game save and start over after doing this.

That is the only option I can suggest maybe someone else might come along and give you a different option so he doesn't have to start over.

Nah you dont need to go that far with the multi discs. When using the popstation to convert the games one of the options thats come up is "change game save and game save I.D"

For Multi disks games go into this option with a multi disc game for every disc and make sure the game save I.D is exactly the same for every disc.

If they are different you wont be able to carry over a save from disc 1 to disc 2 and so on............

It depends. I have tried your option above changing disc 2 and 3 to have the same game ID as disc 1 and Game Save and it still didn't let me load disc 2. The best compatibility still is using the option I gave above.
