Firstly I apologise if this is the wrong thread first time using this particular part of Afterdawn.... Here goes, I recently noticed that websites i dont visit regulary seem to keep dates,times etc on my last visit and also the amount of visits, is there anyway of turning this counter off? as i dont like the thought of big brother watching my every move (its bad enough the wife doing this) LOL Secondly.... recently everytime i turn on the PC i have to re sign in to all the sites that i am visiting including Afterdawn, even my google homepage, this is a nuisance, is there a tick in a box missing somewere or what do you think... thanks for being patient and hopefully someone will answer.. many thanks.

Hey DesB,
I've come across a couple of things to try. In the Internet Options under the Privacy tab in Advanced settings there is a way to "overide manual handling of cookies". You can block or allow etc. Also you may want to install Peer Guardian 2 which gives you an option to "Block HTTP" which could be useful. I use the PG2 for 98\ME because the Vista one is still buggy. Somehow it works with Vista but not sure how. Furthermore, you could check again under Internet Options and within the Advanced tab scroll down to Security and uncheck the "Empty Internet Temporary Files Folder when Browser is closed" box. Try relogging on to your sites to see if that fixes your problem. I tried it on mine just to see and it worked. I didn't have to relog in after boot up. Hope that helps!
