watching sagem dbox streamed to pc using vlc......help needed

Wondering if anyone can help on this matter. Ive managed to hook my dbox up to the pc and can record onto a hard drive and view back on the dbox at a later time.

What i was wondering, is it possible to watch a stream from the dbox using vlc media player. If so could anyone help me out on how to do this.
