I'm having problems with my computer. I also know I have spyware and I can't get rid or of it. The applicaton error comes up and then my screen boots with out any icons. Is there any way to fix this?

Download and run this to repair your desktop => desktop_fixall
Then:
Download and Run HijackThis
Download HJTInstall.exe to your Desktop.
? Doubleclick HJTInstall.exe to install it.
? By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
? Click on Install.
? It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
? Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
? Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
? Copy/Paste the log to your next reply please.
Make an uninstall list using HijackThis
To access the Uninstall Manager you would do the following:
1. Start HijackThis
2. Click on the Config button
3. Click on the Misc Tools button
4. Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.
5. Click on the Save list... button and specify where you would like to save this file. When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file. Simply copy and paste the contents of that notepad here in your next reply.

If not, try this:

Copy and Paste this address to your browser => ftp://ftp.f-secure.com/anti-virus/tools/shellfix.reg and SHELLFIX.reg will download.
The SHELLFIX.REG file is used to fix Explorer startup problems
resulted from unconditional termination of F-Nimda tool during
its operation.
If F-Nimda tool is terminated by a user or operating system while
it is scanning a hard disk, there will be no icons and no taskbar
on Windows desktop. To fix the problem you will have to run the
SHELLFIX.REG file.
It may be necessary to download to a CD or diskette on an unaffected computer.
You can execute this file on an affected NT-based systems
(Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP) from Task Manager.
Please follow these instructions:
1. Press CTRL-ALT-DEL
2. Select 'Task Manager'
3. Select 'File' menu
4. Select 'New Task'
5. In the opened dialog window input the path to the SHELLFIX.REG
file, for example if the file is on a diskette, input
'A:\SHELLFIX.REG' (without quotes) and press 'Enter'
Or use a CD and change the address accordingly..
6. Windows will ask you if you want to add information from the
REG file to the Registry, answer 'Yes'
7. Restart your system and the problem will be solved.
After Windows starts, it will ask you to confirm adding the REG
file information to the Registry, answer 'Yes'. Restart a system
and the problem will be solved. After restart please delete the
SHELLFIX.REG file from programs autostartup folder as it is no
longer needed.

These are very difficult to remove and there are times it will become necessary to reformat/reinstall in order to get rid of it.

F-VMonde - version 1.0.4.0
The F-Vmonde utility deactivates Virtumonde adware. The tool is only needed for Windows XP and Windows 2000.
1. Unzip f-vmonde.zip
2. Run the tool by double clicking on f-vmonde.exe.
3. Reboot the machine.

Please tell me what?s happening??. Explain the problems you are having now and any that have been fixed.
Were you able to run f-vmonde.zip?
How?s your desktop icons??
At first glance your Log shows signs of a Vundo variant. I am at work and don?t have time to look deep. Please post answers to my questions and include any other problems you are having.
I?ll look it all over as soon as I can and post back to you.

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.
Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to the drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix
Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
? Restart your computer
? After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
? Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
? Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
? Choose your usual account.
? Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
? Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
? It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
? Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
? When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
? Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
(Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
? Finally paste the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum with a new Hijack This log
