Im new at the forum, and also newbie at Ripping DVD´s to DVD-R. (sorry about my english, if you find any mistakes)

Off course my doubts are same as everyone, how to fit DVD9 onto DVDR(5).

Through the guides i´ve found here , i made my first copy (American Pie 2 -DVD9) to DVDr.No problems here, ripped audio languages, but english, and all subtitles, except portuguese, menus and extras.
Next movie is MISSION 2 MARS , first time ,i allmost got it, but the damn thing was not enough.
Ripped everything and the final size was 4,40 GB..
Tried reencoding guide, but the result was a good video image(did 90% compression) on REEMPEG , but the audio got desyncronized, after 50 min of playing.
Well, all i needeed was to shrink those 4,40 GB onto 4,37GB.
Found VOBSPLITTER and it cuts VOBS, leaving all the info on chapter, cells, blah, blah, INTACT.
Makes a perfectly functional VOB , and i Just cut the final VOB to the size you want.
Found out that stripping 20 sec. of the final credits was just enough for me, and those 20 sec. of last part were occupying 340 MB of file size.
Just an idea i had, worked , and now i share it to those "newbies" as i .
PS: Maybe this info is already related in forum, but since i didn´t find anything similar, i posted.
Greets to the forum creator, and all members.
PS2: I already submited my experience on this 2 movies to the database ;)
You guys start doing the same, hey !!
