I've been searching for answers on this forum all week, and have not yet found my answer. I have a HDD with a Maxtor 40GB hard drive, and I have the USB Extreme (bought it, not burned) and I've formatted, transfered game.. but my problem is every time I plug it on my slim PS2, it says USB is not recgonized.. I'm getting very frustrated and exhausted for searching for answers that don't seems to be anywhere.. If anyone could help me, I would BE VERY GRATEFUL !!!!!!
I had a similar problem with USB advance(I burned USB advance, but the splash screen in the PS2 said "USB extreme"). Turned out the problem was in the File System of the drive. It was NTFS, and USBextreme recognises FAT32 only.

I have typed a big paragraph, it didn't even post, so i'm getting frustrated with this.. bottom line, i formatted fat32, and it still didn't work. I had to press random buttons and put the hdd on 4 times until i could actually see my game list. i copied singstar from my dvd. once i clicked that game, i would see the loading menu but it's been 2hours, and it's still there... any idea what's doing all this? i read that the games were suppose to load FASTER than by dvd, but apprently, i'm doing something wrong somewhere.. any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!
