Hello, I recently bought 2 slim lasers they are totaly new, i removed the antiestatic point and succesfully installed one of it in my modded ps2 slim, and when i finished and tested the laser i notice that the ps2 wont read dvd backups nor original dvd ps2 games, the ps2 only read cds, of any kind (dvdrips backups, music,ps1 games ect.), then i tried the second laser and it was the same.
Any ideas for fixing this?

Your Post is a little confusing. (Maybe some words missing?)
Assuming the the units are NOT reading ANY discs, check ALL connections AGAIN, including the anti static points (must be completly removed). If all are good, try taking it back for exchange.
If you can't exchange them, you may have damaged them through static charges while installing them. The only thing you can do would be to replace them again.

Problem Solved.
I removed the modchip, and it worked just fine.
