Cheating on s slim PS2 with Matrix infinity

Hi.
I have a slim PS2 with matrix infinity installed.
I tried using cheating disks (Codebreaker, AR Max) to cheat on some back up games but I'm unable to. They work fine on my originals but on the backups when I try to run the games with the cheats on I have an error saying to insert a disk on the tray.
Any suggestions?

Cheat device disks like codebreaker and gameshark don't work with backup game, sorry =[

the only chip that allows cheating devices is the crystal chip.

Read "Codebreaker v. 10.0 (ELF only)" of this tutorial

Or basically you could install the free_mcboot to your mc, then use ESR beta 9 to run backups.
You would have to disable the modchip.

Use codebreaker 10 elf file, and rename ESR beta to CB_launch.elf and it will load your backup with cheats.
