I'm trying to dual boot Vista and 98. I have have Vista installed on one partition, C:, and I'm trying to install 98 on another partition, D:, but the installer won't let me and automatically tries to install it on C:. Also if anyone has any suggestions on which software to use to dual boot because right now I'm using VistaBootPRO, but I'm not sure if it'll work with 98.

Thanks!

it is very possible to do this type of dual-boot...just some things you need to know about dual-booting

the older version (in this case win98) needs to be installed first...and while changing partitions make sure and leave enough HDD space for the vista install plus programs, apps...ect...

then after the win98 is setup and working....run the vista setup and use the rest of the HDD to install it....

here is the fun part...

When you have 98 booted, vista will show as drive D:, when you have vista booted 98 will be D:...something good to know...don't get confused
