I have a modded ps2, but i do not know what the name of it is, and im too scared to open it up and check. Can someone tell me how to disable the mod chip so i can play online? My ps2 is a version 9, the older generation of ps2's. Thanks for the help.

Don't open it. The same thing happened to me. I opened it to check which mod chip it was, so i could download the manual. After i assembled it it had read disc error. I still can't play.
