How do I format HD so HDloader detects it

Any advice? Do I need to format it 1st on PC? If so what do I use to do that?

First do the normal right click and format the drive from My Computer but format as FAT32 not NTFS.

Then use WINHIIP select the drive and then it'll tell you it isnt a PS2 drive. Then click the FOrmat HDD tab and that should be it.

you also have to have the drive pin set to Master.
