Hello People..

I have this laptop.... the usb ports dont work with flash disks, they only work with a few devices like bluetooth dongle and infrared adapter...my flash disk shows a red light when is on, but on this usb ports it only shows a deam red light and the laptop does not detect a new hardware...what could be the problem?

and 2nd, i opened the laptop to check the ports, when i tried to assemble it back, i had some electric sparks on the screw driver when i was fastenin the screw at the bottom of the notebook, the one somewhere on the middle of the platform at the bottom, now the laptop only works with ac adapter on, what is wrong?

You probably shorted you battery or damaged the charging system or both. Have the battery tested to see if it can still hold a charge if not then your charging system might need to be looked.

In regards to your flash drive not working have you tried a different make of drive?

the laptop would stay on if you removed the AC adapter. Since it doesn't, it's obviously faulty.
