I want to copy my PS1 save files from some memory cards into a format that I can use on my PSP. I have a PS2 w/ LaunchELF already setup, and a PSP with CWCHEAT (for importing the saves) setup. I tried copying the files with LaunchELF, but I cannot find a program that can import those files (Tested a few, including PSXGameEdit). I tried using CWPSXMC2PSP program that comes with CWCheat as well, but it either does nothing, or freezes, when I try to copy the files. Does anyone know of another program to do this? or how to convert the files copied with LaunchELF into a format PSXGameEdit can handle?
I'm looking for a way to convert LaunchELF PS1 saves into a standard memory card format, or a PS2homebrew to convert a PS1 memory card to a standard format via netwoking or USB. Although in the end I want to run it on my PSP, the question deals with going from a PS2 -> PC.
Found the answer to my question. For anyone interested, here is how you do it..
A) Get a newer version of uLaunchELF, one that can do a psuCopy (check the R1 menu)
B) Copy the file off of the memory card
C) psuCopy onto a USB Memory Stick (attached to the PS2)
D) Connect the USB stick to a computer
E) Drag the misc. save files from the memory stick onto PSX RAW Converter
That will convert the psu files into .mc files that can be opened with PSXGameEdit You can then use CWCheat on a PSP to convert PSX Saves between .mcr format and PSP format.
