Sale starts tomorrow my friend. But this is a Great Price on Great Quality Media. I Love these. I have only found 1 actual bad disc out of hundreds of burns with these. They also have Great Sharpie writing surface too!

Hehe...upon further inspection on the start and end dates i realized that. :)
I'll pick some up Monday then.
And you're right on, i love the surface. Sharpie's work great on those. I've still got some from a previous sale laying around somewhere.
Thanks again.

No Problem Man! I am always glad to pass on Sales on Sony's or Verbatim's. Note this: Staples will give you $3.00 each credit for empty ink cartridges by Lexmark, Dell or HP. Do NOT tell them if you have a Rewards Card. They'll apply the ink credit to it instead of off the purchase. Anyway, $22.98 is a Great Price for these anyway.
Also, Office Max WILL price match if they are closer.

OK I'm a little peeved!!!! Went to Staples and they don't do the coupon for the ink carts any more!!! You have to do the rewards card and they mail you the coupon or something like that. lol. I got pissed when they said we "don't" do that anymore and basically just walked out when they were talking to me. ;)
I'll go to Office Max tomorrow and see what their policy is and go from there.
Does anyone know if you can just turn in the ink carts at Staples w/o some sort of purchase?? tia....
....gm
SO the bottom line is the GM didn't get the ON SALE discs or ear buds he had in his hot little hand!!! ggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....... hehehee.

Just order on line. I ordered 150 of the Sony blanks this morning and the net cost was around $36 with FREE shipping to be delivered on Tuesday. Not a bad deal :)
I ordered from the Staples Web site before and they are very reliable and prompt! I also found that the local store managers were not very friendly nor knowledgeable. In addition, sometimes they price their merchandise higher than the price quoted on the Web site and a call to their Customer Serv confimed that it's been their regular practice to have higher prices on some items in the stores. Silly policy, IMHO !!

They had the 100 packs at $22.99 which I expected they would have. ;)
They wouldn't take my ink carts (@ $3 each = $9 savings) so that lost my savings and therefore me getting the discs at $14 for the 100 pack. :(

I feel your pain greensman, I ran into the same thing. I also told Staples Mgr. what I Thought about the crap too.
Office Max WILL Price Match, however, their "policy" is you can not price match & use ink cartridges too. Which makes no logical sense to me, but they won't budge on it. The GOOD THING is when Office Max has Verbatim's on Sale, it's a Win Win situation. They WILL take $3.00 off for the ink cartridges! Up to 5!

Same here at the last sale. The explanation the manager gave me was that some Staples employees were selling the coupons on E-Bay. Looked it up when I went home and sure enough, they are listed. Needless to say I haven't been back since,

Actually the in store price on the Verbs is $10.99 for +R and $11.99 for -R 50PKS. The price in Sunday's sales ad is incorrect.

Be careful about the "verbatims" you might be getting at Best Buy. I tried a store near me and all they had were crap "verbatims" made in China. If I have time I will try another BB tomorrow as I would like to get some more verbs if I can find the grade A taiwan ones.

I didn't know Verbatims were being made in China now. I knew about MIS, MIT and MII but now there are MIC verbs?

Oops - I mispoke. It was INDIA not China!!! My brain gets confused sometimes....I meant India...which although I did not buy any & test them out, I assumed that they are crap media.
Some good news though, I went to a different Best Buy today and found 4 spindles of +R Verbatim, grade A's, made in Taiwan, hidden behind about 50 spindles of the Indian -Rs.
New packaging on these again, now in dark blue & purple kind of design. These are made by "Verbatim" MID code, look like this according to Nero CD/Discspeed, same as the ones I've been getting great results with the past year or so.
Nero DiscSpeed: Disc Info
Basic Information
Disc type: : DVD+R
Book Type : DVD+R
Manufacturer: : Verbatim
MID : MCC 004 000 (00h)
Write speeds: : 2.4 X - 4 X - 6 X - 8 X - 12 X - 16 X
Blank Capacity : 4.38 GB
: 4482 MB
: 4700375040 bytes
And best news of all is that although the BB ad says "$12.99" they only charged me $10.99!!!!

Same here. My MII Verbs have played back flawlessly thus far. I don't know how long they'll last (if longevity is an issue) obviously, since these newly packaged spindles are just that: new (new to me anyway).
But happy day! I'll be stopping by BB to check out if they have any more spindles in stock.
