Sorry if this is recurring question.
Looking for help from sc0user or anyone who can help !
Having updated firmware on my blue Eurovox to 2.10 I have offered to update a mates but its gone belly up. The display show PEAA when trying to scan. I have read a thread by sc0user which reinstalls ver1.0 to the box but the problem occurs when reinstalling ver2.10.
The boxes are original, not clones and were brought at the same time so I need to question why one works perfectly but the other doesn't ?
Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks

Have you tried a reflash? Although PEAA is a protection error message are you sure its a genuine box?

Thanks for the reply.
I,ve tried several times to reverse the firmware and reinstall ver2.10 but keep gettin the same result on this second box. The boxes are original, not clones. Double checked that with another thread on the site (green pots/red glue etc.). Both are definately blue via the 11 slot measure.
Asking for any advice on this cause it really has got me stumped !!
Cheers

PEAA is usually an indication of either a clone box or wrong firmware. Although you say you are sure its a genuine blue box the same as your one.
Have you tried cloning this troublesome box from your one? Or reverting back to an earlier firmware and then reflashing?

Tried a box to box without any sucess. Pressing the reset button on the troublesome box just resets then flashes PEAA. I've took the box back to ver1.0 several times and update with first the October(I think) then the April firmware.
At one point the box seemed to be fine but when it was power scanned it reverted to PEAA display.

You have been on a few forums today :) Have you tried flashing it with the blue clonesafe firmware?

Like I said, its got me stumped. Been trawling these pages all weekend looking for any clues. If anything just to get peace of mind why one works and the other won't.
Clonesafe ? now this is something I haven't picked up on. Where is this available please.

Many thanks. I've got Dnupman as I have used this to downgrade to ver1.0. I'll have a crack at it and see what happens. Watch this space =)

Just reporting back. Unfortunately no progress ?? Run Clonesafe firmware, downloading successful. Added ver2.10 firmware, downloading successful. Restored factory settings and powerscan . . . PEAA ????
Done a third box since and thats fine also, just this one being a nuisance . . . .
H E L P !

As you have tried numerous flashes and even the reset button and cloning. The only remaining paths are persistant flashes or Jtag, sorry.

Thanks for the help and advice, thought it was just me hitting a brick wall. Looks like waiting for another firmware update to overwrite this version, see if that cures the problem.

Well all Eurovox Max versions have discontinued since June, so you may have to wait a bit. Not saying support has finished though ;)

Hi,
Had this problem (PEAA) myself with the 21-04-08 firmware, played around with updates etc... reset the box no joy what so ever but when I install 10-04-08 firmware no problems at all.
Hope this helps.
