hey hows it going? just recently i switched my operating system from windows to Linux. My Linux distro is Ubuntu 8.04 and i am having trouble learning how to install programs inside ubuntu i am still new to the linux world and i have no idea where i go or what i do to install programs. Help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

Enable all the repositories like they say and check out adding debian-multimedia (google and follow instructions on front page) for extra codecs and thingies ;)
