Simple answer.. You can't say it is modded in any way. It's against ebay TOS.
You also can't sell pirated/copies of games.. same reason, as well as being illegal to boot. Once thay have removed a banned item you will have trouble listing an unmodified console.. they will suspect you are trying to list the same item again while lying about the modifications. I have seen this happen to more than one person.
Even though in the UK modchips have been declared legal by an appeals courts ruling I wouldn't trust that. It was one specific case, not across the board, and selling copies of games is still illegal.. you are profiting by selling copied content, and that in any interpretation of the laws is piracy.
the pirate industry needs to adopt a catch phraze such as
For Sale PS2 Special Edition
or
For Sale Ps2 Gamers Edition
and then everybody thats looking would know
that that these are the modded units.
if they dont know when they ask the seller a question you
have them email you.
and have a picture of the console and the case thats holding all the copied games (but you cant see the copied games)
and don't bother telling the seller its chipped until they receive the item, or something like that
I got my account suspended on ebay for doing just this thing. There are squealers all over the place that will keep reporting your post. There is no way you are going to be able to sell that on ebay. Only thing I can suggest is list it as buy it now and a 1 day auction and hope someone buys it before it gets removed. I've gotten away with selling a few this way in the past. Hope this helps.
BTW.. your local paper or cards in shop windows isn't an option. A local got busted for piracy today for trying just that with a modded 360 with 80 "backups" Unfortunately they also got caught with a massive collection of burned films and ps2/xbox games.. Looks like that's the end of their internet fun :(
In the end I just put it on as a normal psp, but in the format section I wrote Region 3. It was a region 3 console. After the buyer bough it I informed them it had m33 firmware installed.
Strange thing is is that it seemed tha ebay were targeting me specifically as in less than 15 seconds I found other psps that were modded and yet they were able to go through to completion!
ebay is crap now anyway, sellers can NOT leave buyers negative feedback anymore; this is assuming all buyers are innocent! And we all know there are a few who arent.
Wahtever you do dont advertise it as having 30 games and then after email the einner saying the games are all copies, they wont be happy.
Beat way is to sell it as a normal console, then at the end email them that it is modded and that for an extra £20 or whatever you'll throw in your copied games.
