If I were to pick a regular PS2 or a PS2 Slim, which one will be better overall keeping in mind piracy? Also what should I look for in these models?

I am interested in piracy, so how should I do that? I heard about loading from HDD and SwapMagic. Is there any disadvantages from loading from the HDD? Is it compatable with most games? If it can't do some games how can I play those games through piracy? How much money are certain methods such as HDD and SwapMagic.

I am new to this, so if there is an FAQ or something that you can link me to.

I'm not asking for piracy, I'm asking how to do piracy like everyone else.

Oh, did I say piracy? I meant to say backed ups of games I already bought.

Alright I did some research. Network Adapter is the only way to connect to the original PS2 without USB, correct? For the games that aren't compatable with it, SwapMagic is the best way to go without mod chips, correct? Also if you are playing a game off the HDD can you save your game progress onto it?
