TDK 440N multi-format 4X DVD - rebadged NEC 1300A

I have a TDK 440N multi-format DVD - is a rebadged NEC 1300A.

Could it be possible to put NEC firmware on it - or would this firmware just be the same as TDK's?

I am having issues with it doing PS2 back-ups!!

Here is where you want to go for TDK firmware. you cannot put the nec firmware on your drive but they have plenty of other options here for you.
