Can DTV handle SAP?

Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone knows if DTV will be able to handle SAP like analog signals did. I recently upgraded my direct tv programming to HD and noticed that all channels transmitting in HD do not have SAP available but the same channels in SD do have the SAP with spanish language available. Not sure if this is a technical problem with DTV signal or are broadcasters just leaving out secondary language on HD programming? Will appreciate any input. Thanks.
