Xbox version 3944 Softmod Help!!!!

Ok my xbox version is 3944 and the other thing i cant remember what is version 5960.

I have an xbox Action Replay and SID5 Splinter cell files to softmod. Well i have the files on my xbox but when i run the linux is says error contact microsoft but when i restart theres nothing wrong!

What Autoinstaller files do i need for my version? since SID5 wont work! And if i need to update my version i cant get on xbox live so how else could i do it and where can i get the files?

Also if i need other SID files where can i get them i can only find SID5 no other versions of it!

please help and give me all the needed information i can get!
