From my d-box2 i get m2p-files containing a dd5.1 audiostream (448Kb/s) in ac3-format.

I perfectly can play these files on the dvd-player of the computer.

What software do I need to author a DVD-R KEEPING the 5.1 sound?

All tools I have, though qite expensive, don't accept that files with 5.1 audio, just that with stereo-audio...

DVDit PE will accept ac3 combined with mp2, from my experience one of the best authoring programs available, excellent menu otions as well.
