Hi,

I have a Dell Vostro 1700 laptop, & till last wk, I could burn movies to my computer using RipIt4Me, but I now can't use RipIt4Me, I have windows Media Center poping up, but I just close that window & the RipIt4Me prog. is not seeing the disk in the drive in my laptop, What could be cause of this & how do I get this prob. fixed.

One could start with a clean uninstall, including running a registry cleaner after uninstallation, the reinstall.

One could also go with DvdFab Hd Decrypter...a freeware ripper that's updated often to keep up with newer encryptions. Links and guides are in my sig.

Windows media center is usually associated with Vista(which has a lot of DRM issues), so make sure you are logged on as admininstrator, and to play try VLC player for file, or for dvds, try media classic player.

The OP is having an issue trying to RIP movies.

@mrgtec...you may want to disable autorun for Windows Media Center.

The OP mentioned Windows Media Center, but I didn't see him say Vista. I have Windows Media Center on both my desktop and laptop. Media Center Edition 2005, which runs off of XP.
