I'll try again with my last question but put it in a different way.
At the back of my AV Receiver I have a number of inputs.
I have HDMI for DVD and for Cable. I also have Component for DVD and for Cable and I have Composite for DVD and for Cable.
I guess my question is:
If I have a device connected to my DVD HDMI input let's say my PS3 for arguments sake. Can I still connect another device to my empty Component DVD input lets say my Xbox 360?
My concern with this is that my remote clearly can only show one device onscreen when the DVD button is selected.
Is it more to do with whichever device (PS3 or XBox 360) is switched on at the time which determines which is shown onscreen?
Therefore I can use all empty slots with care of course?
Please if you can offer any guidance that would be great.
Regards
Frazer

I don't see any reason why not, but you will have to switch the input source when dvd is selected on your reciever.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information.
Perhaps I'm being thick....can you explain 'switching the input source' a bit further for me.
Do you mean in terms of switching the input source On and the other Off?
Thanks

When your reciever is set to play dvd, you have to go into the settings and tell the reciever if you want it to receive it's input from component or hdmi.
